The Oncology Director of Nursing oversees clinical and administrative operations for nursing and support staff within an oncology clinic setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, compliance with clinical research protocols, and fostering a collaborative culture with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Seeking a candidate that has strategic people leadership, physician collaboration, change management, and culture-building experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, referral intake team, and schedulers, ensuring effective team performance and professional growth.
• Develop and implement training programs to maintain staff competency and compliance with internal quality standards and clinical research protocols.
• Collaborate closely with physicians to define project success measures, launch new initiatives, and demonstrate measurable results in patient care and research operations.
• Oversee adherence to standard operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and continuous process improvement for all departments under supervision.
• Support clinical research activities by providing guidance to study coordinators and ensuring equitable study allocation and efficient patient enrollment processes.
• Utilize electronic health records and clinical trial management systems to ensure accurate documentation and data capture across departments.
• Promote a culture of change management, strategic leadership, and ongoing education to address evolving challenges in oncology care delivery.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with ancillary departments to support compliant, high-quality, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:
