How You’ll Contribute
A Director of Oncology who excels in this role:
- Directs, develops, and manages daily operations within the Sovah Health Oncology service line, including Radiation Oncology clinics and Market Tumor Registry.
- Directs and executes staffing activities and personnel action; staff selection (interview and hiring), provides orientation, prepares performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets to ensure compliance and financial stewardship.
- Facilitates and executes quality assurance and accreditation compliance requirements for oncology services according to hospital policy and accrediting agency standards.

What You’re Looking For
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Bachelor’s in Nursing Science (BSN).
- Master’s degree in business administration is preferred.
- At least 5 years of oncology related experience with at least 2 years of leadership experience in a clinical environment, and oncology service line preferred.
- Registered or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), registered in Radiation Therapy, or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or compact state, if applicable.
