Job summary

GW MFA is seeking an Oncology Dietitian to develop and implement nutrition services for cancer patients undergoing active treatment in an outpatient setting. You will provide medical nutrition therapy, including assessments, counseling, and written recommendations tailored to each patient’s therapies and needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in nutrition, nutrition sciences, and/or dietetics.
• Current and valid Registered Dietitian credentials in the District of Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutrition services for cancer patients undergoing active treatment in an outpatient setting.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy including individualized nutrition assessments, counseling, and oral and written nutrition recommendations.
• Provide monthly nutrition classes for patients and caregivers.
• Educate staff on nutrition topics and cancer-related research.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure nutrition screening identifies at-risk patients.
• Maintain timely documentation in the patient’s medical chart.
