Oncology Data Specialist maintains an efficient cancer database of all the patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for Sentara Cancer Network. They are responsible for meeting productivity goals related to abstracting, assisting with maintaining annual follow-up of patients in the database, and case finding.
Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) - Certification - National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) within 3 years from the date of hire
Experience
2 years of Medical Records Data experience
