Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (formerly known as a Certified Tumor Registrar), performs abstracting and data entry: review and interpret medical records to be abstracted into an electronic database, including demographic, diagnostic, clinical, treatment, and pathologic data. Perform casefinding duties and monthly review of neoplasm discharge listings to ensure all reportable cases are abstracted accurately into the electronic data system. Perform follow-up for all reportable neoplasms, assist in preparation for and tracking of cancer conferences and tumor boards, assist with preparation of annual report, individual study requests, and quality audits as assigned. Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C) (formerly known as a Certified Tumor Registrar) with a minimum of one year post certification experience in an ACoS-CoC-accredited hospital-based cancer registry within the past five years required.
