Job Summary

As An Oncology Data Specialist, Your Responsibilities Include

• Accurately abstract and interpret clinical data from patient medical records to identify and record cancer diagnoses.
• Track oncology patient data throughout the full course of care—from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.
• Input complete, high-quality data into national cancer registries and internal databases.
• Maintain a workflow of abstracting 5 cases per day (25 cases per week) from a suspense list.
• Support quality management initiatives with Baptist MD Anderson Oncology Leadership.
• Use multiple data sources for comprehensive and accurate patient case tracking.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with cancer reporting standards.
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential is required.

Additional Details

This is a fully remote position. Applicants must reside in AL, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MI, NC, OH, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WV, WY.

Educational requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, with an Associate's Degree preferred.

Experience required: 3-5 years in Medical Records.
