Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a dedicated cancer data specialist to abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases, assist with case identification, and perform quality control on registry data. This is a remote position empowered by Providence Swedish processes.

The role requires foundational education in cancer data management and a credential such as the National Oncology Data Specialist from NCRA, with preferred background in oncology registries and related software like ONCOLog.

Required Qualifications

• College level curriculum in cancer data management or equivalent education/experience

• Upon hire: National Oncology Data Specialist - National Cancer Registrars Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree

• Coursework/Training: Anatomy & Physiology coursework or completing courses

• Experience abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases

• Experience working in an ACoS approved Cancer Registry

• Using Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog
