Job summary

Swedish First Hill in Seattle is seeking a remote Oncology Data Specialist to abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases, assist with case identification, and perform data quality checks within the cancer registry.

College-level coursework in cancer data management and certification (NCDS) are required; preferred are an Associate's degree and ONCOLog experience, with remote work and healthcare benefits included.

Qualifications

• College level curriculum in cancer data management or equivalent education/experience.
• National Oncology Data Specialist certification required at hire.
• Experience abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases.
• Experience in an ACOS-approved Cancer Registry; familiarity with cancer registry software like ONCOLog.

Required Qualifications:

• College level curriculum in cancer data management or equivalent education/experience
• Upon hire: National Oncology Data Specialist - National Cancer Registrars Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree
• Coursework/Training: Anatomy & Physiology coursework or completing courses
• Experience abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases
• Experience working in an ACoS approved Cancer Registry
• Using Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog
