Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Cancer Registry Specialist to join our team. The role requires an HIT-related degree and specific registry credentials, with a focus on managing cancer registry data and ensuring accuracy across systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Cancer Registry Management, or bachelor’s degree in HIT.
• 1 year of Cancer Registry experience.
• 2 years of health care experience.
• ODS-C certification required or in progress within 2 years (can be paired with RHIT/RHIA).
• 3 years CTR; hospital-based registry experience preferred.
• EPIC and CRStar experience preferred.

Job description

Schedule:

• Full-time | 72hours every two weeks | Remote
• Days | 8-hour shifts | 7:30am – 4pm
• Occasional requirements to be onsite

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $25.20 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
  • Pay range: $25.20 - $37.81 per hour

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from an accredited school of Health Information Technology or Cancer Registry Management or bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Health Information Technology required.
• 1 year of experience in Cancer Registry required
• 2 years of experience in health care required
• Certification options:
  • Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) Certification required, can be obtained within 2 years of hire or
  • Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) Certification and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or
  • Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) Certification and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
• 3 years Current Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR), 3-years’ experience in a hospital-based registry preferred
• EPIC and CRStar experience preferred
