Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Cancer Clinical Research Office. The role supports biospecimen collection, patient screening and data entry for oncology studies, collaborating with coordinators and regulatory staff to maintain compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field, at least two years of clinical research experience, and familiarity with EMR systems. Travel across Hartford sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, or Healthcare related.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical research experience.
• Familiar with EPIC or other electronic medical record systems.
• Experience with Excel and clinical databases (REDCap, Medidata, RAVE).
• Phlebotomy trained or willing to train.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for a highly integrated team.
• Ability to travel between clinical sites in the Greater Hartford area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate biospecimen studies in oncology: screening and consenting patients, collecting blood and other specimens.
• Collaborate with trial coordinators on collection, processing, shipping and assessments.
• Review protocols and manuals for logistics and training needs.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and IRB policies; document and monitor data.
• Enter data into sponsor systems and maintain study calendars and logs.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and audits; support billing and accounts as needed.
