Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Clinical Research Associate II with at least 2 years of monitoring experience. This role offers a hybrid work model with 8–10 days on-site per month, primarily in the San Francisco, CA area or on the West Coast, focusing on Oncology trials.

You will perform site monitoring, ensure protocol and consent compliance, manage data integrity, and assist with training and coordination of local projects. Travel up to 60% overnight is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Clinical Monitoring experience required.
• 60% overnight travel expected.
• Oncology background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clinical sites including routine monitoring and close-out; maintain study files and conduct visits.
• Manage site activities as per project plans and liaise with vendors.
• Ensure proper informed consent procedures and protocol adherence.
• Verify data quality in CRFs and other data tools; monitor source documents.
• Support SAE reporting and follow-up activities as required.
• Assist with training of new staff and co-monitoring tasks.
• Coordinate designated projects as Local Project Coordinator as needed.
