Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan and implement an appropriate specialist psychological intervention for cancer patients.
• Maintain client case notes and write letters following counselling sessions in accordance with local policy.
• Liaise with the wider multi-disciplinary team and provide specialist advice to staff and students.
• Provide training to medical and non-medical staff and students in cancer counselling.
• Assist with research and audit in cancer counselling and participate in CPD in line with professional body guidelines.
