Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the oncology clinic at Clements Ferry. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals and health histories, documenting in the EMR, giving injections, and assisting with minor procedures as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with no nights or weekends. CMA licensure, BLS certification, and graduation from an accredited medical assisting program are required; CMA II

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Six months CMA/RMA experience required for CMA II.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients, take vitals and health history.
• Document in an electronic medical record.
• Give injections and assist with minor procedures.
• Calibrate, clean and maintain clinical/lab equipment per OSHA, DHEC and UMA.
• Manage patient flow, scheduling and referrals based on urgency and availability.
• Educate patients and communicate plan of care.
• Observe and report patient condition and reactions to treatment.
• Assist with exams, procedures and tests.

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited medical assisting program

One year of patient care experience (preferred)

Six months CMA/RMA experience (CMA II)
