Job summary

Flourish Research seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator – Oncology for Valkyrie Clinical Trials in Walnut Creek, CA. The CRC will manage start-up, recruitment, consent, protocol mastery, and white-glove participant care, ensuring safety and data integrity per GCP/ICH guidelines.

The role includes protocol scheduling, product accountability, data queries, site communications, and collaboration with PI and sponsor teams. Onsite, non-exempt, 40 hours weekly with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in life science, nursing, or related field preferred; equivalent clinical research experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 2–3 years of clinical research experience, including experience as an RA, or equivalent oncology clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Lead site-level start-up activities for assigned protocols and readiness for site initiation visits.
• Own recruitment strategy for assigned protocols: chart review, referral coordination with treating oncologists, and pre-screening against inclusion/exclusion criteria.
• Conduct the informed consent discussion with participants and families.
• Perform and oversee protocol-specified clinical procedures with full disease-state context.
• Schedule, conduct, and manage the full cycle of patient visits per protocol.
• Coordinate with pharmacy on investigational product accountability.
• Identify, grade, and report adverse events per protocol timelines.
• Maintain complete, contemporaneous study documentation and logs.
• Prepare for and host monitoring visits; resolve data queries.
• Enter and reconcile CTMS billing and visits against the study budget.
• Support sponsor audits and inspections.
• Respond to participant inquiries and act as site liaison with sponsors.
