Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a regular full-time Laboratory Clinical Research Associate I to support the Clinical Research Services team in Shadyside/Pittsburgh, PA, and Magee Women’s Hospital location in Oakland/Pittsburgh, PA. The role follows a Monday–Friday daylight schedule across locations.

You will work under the Clinical Research Manager with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to execute protocol management tasks and ensure quality data collection for oncology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year post-college lab experience preferred.
• Experience with protocol management and data collection is beneficial.
• Experience in oncology research is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical trial lab responsibilities and ensure proper sample handling.
• De-identify samples, obtain patient consent, and coordinate with clinic sites.
• Enter data promptly into study databases and CRFs.
• Support monitoring visits and data collection with data locks.
• Prepare lab kits and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Track patient visits and assist in initiating new site evaluations and audits.
