Job summary

University Health Partners of Hawaii in Honolulu seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee early-phase cancer trials at the EPCRC. You will organize study activities, screen and enroll patients, and ensure accurate data entry and regulatory compliance while collaborating with PI, nurses, and physicians.

The ideal candidate has a health-related bachelor's degree and 3 years of clinical research experience or 5 years in a health care clinic; oncology exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Three years of experience in health research/clinical trials including at least one year of oncology or five years in a health care clinic setting.
• Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with early-phase industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials preferred.
• Autonomy with minimal supervision and ability to seek guidance when needed.
• Knowledge of ICH, GCP, HIPAA essentials.

Responsibilities

• Independently organizes and manages activity and tasks for early-phase cancer trials in EPCRC.
• Identifies and informs eligible patients about protocols; enrolls and follows enrolled patients.
• Collects and documents data into case report forms, EMR, and EDC systems per protocol.
• Ensures standard of care procedures are identified; maintains training, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with PI, nurses, physicians to ensure compliance with industry and investigator-initiated research.
• Follows Good Clinical Practices (ICH/GCP) and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
• Maintains training in human subjects’ research and other UHP requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
