Job summary

Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of US Oncology, is seeking a Full Time Clinical Research Coordinator for our Arlington office. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a clinical or scientific field is encouraged, with oncology experience preferred.

The coordinator will screen and enroll patients, ensure protocol compliance, and manage data entry and education for staff and patients. Strong communication and multi-tasking will be essential in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred in clinical/scientific field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a clinical/scientific related discipline, oncology preferred.
• SOCRA or ACRP certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience working with physicians preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen potential patients for eligibility in collaboration with physicians.
• Present trial concepts and obtain informed consent; enroll patients on trials.
• Coordinate patient care per protocol; dispense investigational drug and provide teaching.
• Maintain drug accountability; monitor patient condition and adverse events; document findings.
• Review billing guides and submit billing information to appropriate personnel.
• Support recruitment goals and strategies for participant enrollment and retention.
• Conduct patient assessments and assist with regulatory document collection.
