Job summary

Virginia Cancer Specialists in Fairfax is seeking a Full Time Clinical Research Coordinator to support oncology trials. A clinical/scientific degree is preferred, with oncology experience desired. You will coordinate screening, enrollment, and ongoing patient assessments while ensuring protocol compliance and accurate data management.

You will also handle billing review, training of staff, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality trial conduct at our site in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Education/Training - Associate's degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in a clinical or scientific related discipline required, preferably in oncology.
• SOCRA or ACRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen potential patients for eligibility in collaboration with physicians.
• Present trial concepts and obtain informed consent, then enroll patients in trials.
• Coordinate patient care per protocol; dispense investigational drug and provide administration guidance.
• Maintain investigational drug accountability and document findings accurately.
• Review billing guides and submit billing information as required.
• Assist with recruitment strategies and retention of participants in long-term trials.
• Provide clinical services and assist with regulatory documents per USOR SOP and regulations.
• Support training and education of staff and patients; assist with scheduling monitoring visits.
• Communicate study requirements and adverse events to physicians as needed.
