Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, is seeking a Full Time Research Assistant in Fairfax. You will maintain patient data, collect data from contact through therapy and long-term follow-up, and assist with scheduling and records preparation for audits.

You may assist with direct patient care and lab tasks in a clinic setting. The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of medical office experience (oncology preferred), and strong data

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year medical office experience required; oncology experience preferred
• Phlebotomy skills a plus
• Microsoft Office experience and data entry/database management preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational skills; attention to detail

Responsabilidades

• Maintain patient data files in an organized manner for easy retrieval and review
• Collect patient data from initial contact through course of therapy and long-term follow-up
• Assist with scheduling consultations, tests, procedures, and future appointments with physicians
• Prepare patient records for audits by regulatory, accrediting, and research organizations
• Maintain supplies, drugs and storage facilities for clinical research
• Enter pertinent data in computer systems as outlined by guidelines
• Assist physicians and nurses with direct patient care including vital signs and procedures
• Assist with collecting and processing specimens for research purposes
