Job summary

The US Oncology Network's Virginia Cancer Specialists in Fairfax is seeking a Full Time Research Assistant. Under supervision, you will initiate and maintain logs of patients referred to clinical research, collect data from initial contact through therapy and follow-up, and perform clerical data management for the department.

You may assist with direct patient care, laboratory services, and supplies, while adhering to compliance programs and code of ethics and business standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of medical office experience; oncology preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills are a plus; experience with data entry encouraged.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.

Responsibilities

• Maintains logs of patients referred for participation in clinical research.
• Collects data from initial contact through therapy and follow-up.
• Performs clerical and administrative data management tasks for the department.
• May assist with direct patient care, lab services, and supply maintenance.
• Supports compliance program and ethical standards.
