Job summary

Reading Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with a master's or doctoral level of preparation and clinical expertise in evidence-based nursing practice within a specialty area.

The CNS will treat and manage health concerns of patients and populations, integrating disease knowledge into assessment, diagnosis and treatment, while providing leadership for nursing practice and collaborating with the care team to achieve quality, cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for CNS role.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Population-level credentialing through ANCC or related CNS licensure in PA.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for advancement of nursing practice within a specialty area.
• Collaborate with inter-professional care teams to achieve quality and cost-effective outcomes.
• Practice across three spheres: patient-client, nurses and nursing practice, and organization/system.
