Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Medical Oncology Department at our Grapevine, TX location. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with travel to Bedford and Keller as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of nursing experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. Texas Oncology offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a leading community oncology

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care.
Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
Manage patient medication refill requests and record in patient chart.
Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments.
Triages patient calls and document information in patient's chart.
Coordinate services related to patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
