Job summary

Texas Oncology in Austin, TX seeks a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical Oncology team at the South Austin location. This full-time, Monday-Friday position runs 8:30am-5:00pm with no weekends or major holidays and offers a pathway for Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

The role supports comprehensive cancer care, including care coordination, patient education, and interprofessional collaboration, with LTIP potential and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• 0-3 years nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status and medical history with patients.
• Provide teaching and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests and documentation.
• Coordinate consultations, pre-testing, tests, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Triages calls and documents information in charts.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Assist patients in locating community resources.
