Job summary

Aurora Medical Group is looking for Medical Assistants or Licensed Practical Nurses to join our ambulatory care team at the Kenosha ACC location. The role supports providers, greets patients, records vital signs, and helps ensure a smooth, compassionate patient experience in a busy oncology clinic.

Eligible candidates must have an MA program or a valid LPN license along with BLS, with the possibility of additional floating between clinics within the Southern Region.

Qualifications

• LPN license and BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required; BLS must be obtained within 45 days if not already.
• MA: BLS certification within 45 days if required by department leadership.
• GED or HS equivalency diploma accepted for MA.
• LPN: advanced training in Practical Nursing.
• MA: completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable full-time MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and assist their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs and health questionnaires.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care.
