What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Request, follow-up, obtain, and validate authorizations/referrals/notifications using appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Coordinate patient flow and timely processing of requests

- Address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion
- Meet individual quality metrics in a call center-type environment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in validating/obtaining authorizations with insurance payers
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience
- Completion of the Patient Access training course
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
- Familiarity with authorization guidelines for Radiation Oncology and/or Oncology Infusion
- Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole
