Job summary

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a clinically competent advanced practitioner to provide comprehensive care for oncology and hematology patients across the continuum. Under approved privileges, you will perform patient assessments, follow-up care, diagnoses, and survivorship planning in collaboration with medical oncologists.

You will lead education for patients and families, manage infusion-related care, and coordinate referrals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Previous oncology experience as clinician or nursing required.
• DE licensure as an advanced practice clinician or ability to obtain with offer letter.
• DEA licensure or ability to obtain prior to credentialing.
• Current BLS certification per American Heart Association guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments for oncology/hematology patients.
• Manages complex oncology/hematology cases, including side effects and diagnosis.
• Provides infusion center support, handles infusion reactions and triage.
• Develops survivorship care plans for curable cancers.
• Coordinates referrals to palliative care and collaborates with the oncology team.
• Educates patients and families about diagnosis, treatment goals, and side effects.
• Creates comprehensive care plans with oncologists, including meds and end-of-life care.
• Assists with inpatient oncology/hematology coverage and rapid assessment of acutely ill patients.
• Participates in admission/discharge planning for inpatient chemotherapy.
