Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced RN to provide ambulatory oncology nursing care for adults with hematologic and oncologic conditions. You will apply chemotherapy knowledge, perform the nursing process, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Alabama RN license required or eligible to be licensed.
CPR certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
ACLS and PALS certifications may be required for Hazelrig-Salter Radiation Oncology Center positions.

Responsibilities

Provide professional ambulatory nursing care to adult patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases.
Demonstrate oncology/chemotherapy knowledge and skills.
Use nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Coordinate activities of interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
