Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an experienced RN to provide ambulatory nursing care to adult patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires an RN license in Alabama, CPR certification, and preferably a BSN with 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• BMTC may be acceptable for specific positions; ACLS/PALS may be required for certain centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional ambulatory nursing care to adult patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases.
• Demonstrate specialized oncology/chemotherapy knowledge and skills.
• Coordinate activities of other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
• Apply nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
