Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver oncology care in the patient’s home in collaboration with a licensed physician and multidisciplinary team. The APP will evaluate cancer-related symptoms, manage treatment toxicities, and coordinate supportive care within a home-based cancer program.

Candidates may be APRN (Ohio) with MSN and NP program eligibility or PA-C with NCCPA eligibility.

Qualifications

Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio.
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program qualifying for national certifying exam.
Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
0 years of relevant experience; 1–2 years oncology preferred.
Masters Prepared; PA-C program qualifying for NCCPA exam; eligible for Ohio licensure as a PA-C; 0 years experience; 1–2 years oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced oncology assessment and clinical management in the patient’s home.
Collaborate with oncology disease teams, RNs, pharmacists, and other clinical partners.
Develop and adjust individualized plans of care; determine escalation to higher level of care.
Final candidates subject to background check; drug screen or physical may be required.
