Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology team. The role focuses on direct patient care, clinical coordination, and research participation in a specialized oncology environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice required.
• APRN authorization from Texas Board of Nursing required; must be consistent with clinical practice area.
• 1+ year of Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend clinics with physicians and conduct preliminary assessments of patients.
• Dictate clinic notes and write admission/outpatient orders.
• Screen patients for clinical trials and assist with protocol eligibility.
• Coordinate services across departments to support patient care initiatives.
• Assist with inpatient care activities when needed.
• Prepare reports and presentation materials.
