Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Orange City Office to assist physicians in patient care and teaching. You will participate in clinical trials screening, write therapeutic prescriptions, and conduct rounds with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires Florida NP licensure or eligibility, BLS, and strong clinical judgment. This position offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits within a leading oncology network.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, master’s degree in nursing or post-masters nurse practitioner certificate program.
• Current license/registration to practice in Florida (or eligible).
• Certification from AANP, ANCC, or ONCC.
• BLS certification.
• 0-3 years licensed as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and follow-up studies per protocol.
• Determine eligibility for entry into clinical trials based on findings.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests.
• Relay information regarding patient care to collaborating physician.
• Provide on-call coverage and hospital rounds as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation of care.
