Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Oncology team. This role includes assessments, diagnosing, ordering tests, and educating patients.

You will participate in rounds, tumor boards, and the lung cancer programs, contributing to high-quality cancer care. The position offers a 10,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive compensation package with base pay in a salaried, hourly-equivalent framework.

Qualifications

• Licensed to provide advanced practice nursing services in Illinois or physician assistant services in Illinois.
• Licensed by the DEA and Illinois for prescribing narcotics.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment with patient-centered focus.
• Oncology experience and oncology nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and intervene within APP scope of practice.
• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests and imaging results.
• Provide ongoing evaluation of patients’ response to treatment and adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families about disease, treatment options, side effects and supportive care.
• Participate in clinical rounds, tumor boards and interdisciplinary conferences.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to promote quality and cost-effective care.
