Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to manage the end-to-end new-hire experience on the production floor. This role emphasizes hands-on training, strong interpersonal skills, and collaboration with HR and supervisory teams.

Responsibilities include tracking training hours and qualification status, conducting safety observations, and ensuring documentation is complete. A High School diploma and training experience are expected; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or coursework in Communications/HR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding experience for new hires from day 1 to qualification.
• Administer, track, and evaluate new hire floor training including hours, status, attendance.
• Supervise hands-on training on the production floor and advise on training needs.
• Develop positive relationships with new hires, peers, leaders, and clients.
• Meet with supervisors and HR to review processes and product specs; participate in HR/company committees.
• Support KPIs: 30/60 day retention, safety observations, JSA completions.
• Ensure adherence to Pilgrim's values; maintain training documentation and timely qualifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Ensure all safety policies and expectations are being met by new hires
• Manage the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to 60 days or when the new hire becomes qualified, whichever comes first
• Administer, track, and evaluate all new hire floor training to include but not limited to: hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, fostering new hire/supervisor relationship, weekly meetings, other duties as assigned
• Supervise and demonstrate hands on training for new-hires during the training period and make recommendations to management and/or Human Resources regarding training needs, concerns and continued employment. Onboarding Coordinators spend 90% of their time on the production floor with the new hires
• Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers, leaders and clients
• Meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and product specifications
• Participate on HR & company committees
• Fulfill these key performance indicators: 30 and 60 day retention, minimum of 2 Safety Observations per week, JSA completions of all new hires, and others as assigned
• Meet the following expectations: instill all Pilgrims’ values, no new hires moved, complete all training documents, ensure trainees are qualified timely, complete weekly meetings with new hires and supervisors, follow up with superintendent and training supervisor on any new hire issues, focus all attention and resources on new hires and their successful on boarding
• Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

• High School Diploma/ GED; Associates Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred but not required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

Salary range: $50k -$60k +/-
