Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to serve as the primary contact for new hires and drive a structured onboarding experience across multiple centers. You will coordinate schedules, ensure training completion, and maintain compliance records from day one through early training milestones.

Responsibilities include leading orientation sessions, collaborating with leadership to schedule activities, and tracking progress while fostering a welcoming, inclusive culture

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in onboarding, training, human resources, employee development, or operations required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and virtual facilitating training sessions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS or Learning Management Systems is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

  • Facilitate engaging new hire orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate and monitor required training programs, ensuring all mandatory training is completed on time.
  • Partner with center leadership to schedule onboarding activities that meet operational needs.
  • Adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate varying new hire start dates, shift times, and locations.
  • Ensure each new employee receives the appropriate tools, resources, system access, and training materials before or on their first day.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with new hires throughout their onboarding period to answer questions, provide support, and identify potential barriers to success.
  • Track onboarding milestones and maintain accurate training and compliance records.
  • Communicate onboarding progress to department leaders and Human Resources.
  • Collaborate with trainers and operational leaders to continuously improve onboarding content and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the overall new hire experience and employee retention.
  • Assist with onboarding documentation, policy acknowledgments, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Promote a welcoming, positive, and inclusive experience that reflects the organization's culture and values.

Job description

The Onboarding Coordinator at BHG serves as the primary contact and facilitator for new employees, driving an engaging, structured, and compliant onboarding experience from day one through the completion of initial training across multiple treatment centers. Working closely with leadership, trainers, and Human Resources, this role coordinates schedules, tracks compliance and milestones, provides continuous support, and fosters a welcoming culture aligned with the organization's values to enhance overall employee retention and success.

Work Schedule
  • This position operates on a flexible schedule based on organizational onboarding needs. Hours may vary to support new hire orientations and training sessions across multiple centers, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.

  • Sit for long periods of time, some bending, stooping and stretching
  • Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes
  • Keyboarding for long periods of time
