Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking an on-board Dishwasher to support galley operations and provide exceptional hospitality aboard a Coast Guard-inspected passenger vessel. You will clean dishes, assist with provisioning, and maintain cleanliness throughout dining, storage and galley areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to work onboard a moving vessel in varying weather and sea conditions.
• Stand or walk for extended periods.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull supplies up to 40 pounds.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Available for nights, weekends and major holidays.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to coworkers and guests.
• Operate dish machine; ensure all dishes are cleaned, organized, and stored properly.
• Ensure the dishwasher is in proper working order; clean equipment and refill chemicals as needed.
• Assist in routine galley cleaning including equipment and surfaces sanitation, and mopping floors.
• Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and buffets or food stations.
• Receive and store food and supplies using proper food handling techniques including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable products.
• Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
• Additional job duties assigned.
