Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks talented solo piano-vocalists to perform aboard our fleet of ships cruising America’s rivers and coastal waterways. Resident Entertainers provide instrumental cocktail music and engaging evening shows, while serving as a welcoming, highly visible part of the onboard guest experience.

Paid training is provided by our Entertainment Producer; residents work aboard for full cruise assignments with seven-day work weeks and frequent guest interaction.

Qualifications

• Strong vocal ability and stage presence.
• Extensive repertoire spanning listening and dancing music.
• Ability to perform varied themed shows from the 1950s to the 1970s and other popular styles.
• Ability to sustain varied programming and perform instrumental piano music independently.
• Previous shipboard piano-bar or production vocalist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform approximately one hour of instrumental cocktail piano music most evenings.
• Present scheduled 60-minute mainstage shows, typically two to four per cruise.
• Prepare themed programs from established repertoire under direction.
• Engage guests on and off stage and participate in ship social life.
• Coordinate with Cruise Director and onboard team; adapt to itinerary changes.
• Maintain professional standards in performance and appearances.
