Job summary

Royal Caribbean International is seeking a Sound Technician (SOUN) to operate, maintain and troubleshoot sound systems across shipboard venues. You will set up/break down gear for events, coordinate with performers, and ensure compliance with safety and policy standards.

Responsibilities include updating showfiles, maintaining technical integrity, and liaising with production managers to meet sound requirements for rehearsals and performances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelors/Associates in Technical Theater, Sound, Lights, A/V preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ hands-on programming and live FOH mixing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and troubleshoot shipboard sound systems in entertainment venues.
• Set up and break down sound equipment for events and activities.
• Meet with performers to obtain sound requirements and update showfiles.
• Maintain logs and AMOS work orders; follow safety and policy guidelines.
• Coordinate with Stage Production Manager and Head Sound Technician on needs.
