Job summary

Glacier Fish Company is a leading producer of frozen-at-sea groundfish, operating in the North Pacific and across the U.S. West Coast.

This role involves working at sea on our vessels, sorting catch, tending equipment, and ensuring product quality while maintaining a strict safety and cleanliness standard. Position requires long shifts, exposure to cold and wet conditions, and the ability to live in shared quarters during trips that last up to 24 days.

Qualifications

• Repetitive, fast paced accuracy and movements.
• Physical lifting up to 70 lbs, repetitively.
• Standing 16 hrs/day for 7 days/week.
• Work in a wet, cold environments.
• Work in small spaces in close proximity of other crew.
• Self-motivated team-player.
• Must be able to provide 2 recent positive references from previous employers.
• All candidates subject to a post offer pre-employment drug test, medical and background screen

Responsibilities

• Sort fish by species, size, and condition.
• Tend and operate machinery.
• Inspect the fillet product to ensure it meets company quality standards.
• Package, weigh, and label product to be placed into freezer.
• Deep clean factory equipment.
• Participate in offload of frozen product at end of trip.
• Load and unload other supplies onto vessel
