Job summary

Caring Hospice is hiring a Hospice Aide to work under the supervision of a registered nurse, delivering personal care and assisting with activities of daily living for hospice patients. The role requires a valid MA CNA certification and reliable transportation for on-the-road locations across Massachusetts.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of experience in home health or hospice and direct client care in institutional settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved C.N.A training program.
• Certification as a C.N.A in MA.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum 1 year of direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
• Compassionate attitude and ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and state required insurance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks on patient assignments and follow care plans.
• Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN.
• Bathe patients and assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Report changes in patient conditions to supervising RN.
