Job summary

Community Care Ambulance (CCA) offers an EMT On-The-Job Training Program in Oakwood, OH, with on-the-job training and funding for EMT classes. After completing the <4 month> program, there is a path to full-time EMT placement with CCA, plus leadership and educational development opportunities within EMS.

The program includes a 40-hour work week, a class schedule typically 4 days a week for 4 hours, and prerequisites such as age, license, and screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Ohio EMT certification.
• Current CPR card and First Aid Card;
• Ashtabula County protocol and;
• Ohio Driver’s License and meet Community Care’s insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support and assist the paramedic in delivering advanced life support.
• Deliver basic patient care and communicate effectively with patients and team.
• Support duties as needed during EMT program and after certification.
