Job summary

ASR International is seeking a Construction Inspector to provide full-time on-site surveillance for the Pier recapitalization project in North Charleston, SC. The role requires interpreting drawings, monitoring workmanship, and coordinating with the design-builder and client stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Start date is late August 2026.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens with substantial CI experience or equivalent credentials; on-site presence is required with

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• 10+ years construction experience as a CI/SC or QA/QC manager; 5+ years with an engineering degree plus PE, PMP or QA/QC cert in last 10 years.
• Minimum 2 years on Federal Government construction projects within the last 10 years.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work full-time on-site with occasional extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous full-time on-site surveillance of all construction activities.
• Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and installation methods for compliance.
• Document daily observations, deficiencies, and progress; maintain records.
• Coordinate with the design-builder, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
• Support quality control processes, testing observation, and punch-list management.
• Be available for extended hours as project demands require.
