Job summary

JTEC Consulting seeks a UI/UX Developer to connect human-centered design with front-end engineering on a 100% onsite team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include conducting user research, creating journeys and wireframes, and building responsive apps with React, Next.js and TypeScript. Eligibility requires current TS/SCI with polygraph and U.S. citizenship; a BS in CS/IS or equivalent experience is expected; relocation is possible.

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (equivalent years of direct experience considered).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS.
• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience building reusable component-based architectures.
• Demonstrated portfolio with design work and front-end code.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and identify user needs and pain points.
• Synthesize findings into journeys, personas, site maps, and flows.
• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to validate concepts.
• Build responsive web apps with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
• Collaborate to evolve scalable design systems and reusable UI components.
• Ensure accessibility, responsive layouts, and performance across devices.
• Partner with Product Managers to define technical and design requirements in Agile/Scrum.
• Work with back-end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and state management.
• Participate in design critiques and code reviews.
