Piper Companies seeks a skilled Systems Engineer in Clayton, NC, to maintain health, security, and efficiency of our network and server infrastructure on-site.

You will provide Tier 1-2 support for Windows-based virtual servers, manage backup systems, and ensure compliance with regulated industry standards. This role requires proactive problem solving and strong technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification is required.
• Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows-based virtual server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting ability under pressure in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to switches, routers, and firewalls for maximum uptime.
• Provide Tier 1-2 administration for on-site Windows-based virtual servers.
• Manage and support backup and restore processes tailored to a manufacturing setting.
• Act as a point of escalation for network and server issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain documentation and operational standards in a regulated industry.
