APCON, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Systems Administrator to design, deploy, and operate IT infrastructure while supporting all APCON users on site.

You will manage Windows and Linux environments, Active Directory, Exchange, and network security tools; provide end-user and on-call support; and partner with management on IT spending.

This role requires 5+ years in a corporate Systems Administrator role and a customer-focused approach to keep critical networks secure and available.

Qualifications

• Must have a customer service/user support mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and updates of hardware and software.
• Experience troubleshooting network issues and outages.
• Knowledge of hardware peripherals and networking equipment.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, LAN/WAN, and IT infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with management on overall IT systems operations.
• Provide end user desktop support.
• Performs new hire desktop/laptop/phone setup including Windows, Linux, and VMware.
• Maintains and tracks IT equipment, records, and software licensing.
• Performs preventative maintenance and updates on IT hardware/software.
• Maintains and updates Windows IIS, Active Directory, Sugar, Shoretel, and Exchange Servers.
