Job summary

Language Services Associates in Louisville, CO is seeking Swahili interpreters to join its network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will facilitate language communication for LEP communities across a variety of settings and assignments.

As an independent contractor, you will report for accepted assignments on site, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional protocols. Fluency in English and Swahili, plus strong client service, are essential; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Swahili.
• The ability to provide a high level of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Access to personal or public transport
