Job summary

Acuren in Decatur, AL seeks a Surface Eddy Current Technician to support local operations with occasional travel to Huntsville. The role involves performing NDT inspections, developing testing techniques, documenting results, and ensuring safety and quality standards in line with ASME/API guidance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, five years of NDT experience, current NDT certifications, and the ability to supervise others as needed. Travel and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of NDT experience with METHOD/S; ET, UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.
• Current NDT certifications in METHOD/S; ET, UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc. required.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface eddy current NDT inspections on assigned assets.
• Develop techniques for examination and document results per standards.
• Review inspection data and prepare project reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• May supervise junior technicians and interface with customers on scheduling.
