Job summary

Chipton-Ross seeks a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer 2 for an on-site contract in El Segundo, CA. You will collaborate with the Offsite Fabrication department to manage tool fabrication with sub-tier suppliers, overseeing end-to-end design, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning of specialized tooling.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, manufacturing experience, CNC machining, composite applications, GD&T, technical writing, and CAD skills, with eligibility for a security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, aerospace or related field).
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• CNC Machining.
• Composite Applications.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Technical documentation and writing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• 3D CAD experience.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support El Segundo Tooling department and manage fabrication of tools with sub-tier suppliers.
• Oversee end-to-end design, procurement, fabrication and commissioning of tooling at sub-tier suppliers.
• Author Statements of Work (SOWs) and evaluate supplier capabilities.
• Drive hands-on manufacturing execution to ensure tools meet schedule and budget.
