Job summary

Americase, a Texas-based manufacturer of protective cargo cases, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for on-site work in Waxahachie, TX. You will lead supplier qualification, first article and source inspections, and support startup activities at supplier sites to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in supplier quality, hands-on experience with metal/plastic components, and strong attention to detail. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years in supplier quality or quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with metal, plastics, foam, and purchased hardware.
• Experience performing first article inspections, source inspections, and supplier audits.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier qualification visits and process audits, evaluating quality systems, process capability, inspection methods, equipment, and capacity.
• Oversee first article inspection at supplier sites for new parts, new suppliers, and design changes, verifying results against drawings and specifications.
• Production startup support at new and transitioning suppliers, ensuring process controls and instructions are in place before first production shipment.
• Perform and witness source inspection of critical parts to confirm conformance before material ships.
• Monitor supplier quality and production schedule during site visits and report risks to delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering to resolve supplier issues and improve part quality and timing.
