Job summary

Accurate Personnel is seeking an On-Site Supervisor for a fast-paced warehouse environment in Islandia, NY. The role requires a resilient, high-energy individual who can navigate shifting priorities and resolve workplace conflicts with professional poise.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in warehouse or industrial staffing, English/Spanish fluency, and experience with payroll systems. Excellent communication and decision-making skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse or industrial staffing; GMP knowledge a plus.
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems (Novatime/Timerack).
• Strong independent decision making.

Responsibilities

• Resolve associate grievances and site-level disputes with poise.
• Be available for extended hours and overtime as production needs change.
• Manage attendance, coaching, and terminations for field employees.
• Walk the floor at least 3x daily to identify safety or personnel issues.
• Bridge client and Accurate leadership with transparent reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Adaptability

• Expert Conflict Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving associate grievances, behavioral issues, and site-level disputes. You must be able to de-escalate situations in real-time while maintaining company standards
• Unmatched Availability: This role requires a "whatever it takes" mindset, you must be available for extended hours and overtime, often with little to no notice, to support our client's changing production needs
• Agile Workforce Management: Manage field employees (attendance, coaching, and terminations) in an environment where priorities can change by the hour
• Proactive Site Leadership: Walk the floor at least 3x daily to identify potential safety or personnel issues before they escal
• Strategic Communication: Act as the vital bridge between the client and Accurate leadership, providing transparent reporting even during high-stress shifts

Requirements & Qualifications

• The "Flex" Factor: Proven ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, especially when faced with last-minute schedule changes or operational pivots
• Warehouse Veteran: At least 2 years of experience in the warehouse or industrial staffing industry. Knowledge of GMPs is a plus.
• Bilingual Skills: Fluency in English & Spanish is highly preferred to effectively communicate across a diverse workforce
• Reporting & Compliance: Ability to create and edit spreadsheets, and work with Novatime or Timerack to support payroll. Support diversity and comply with EEO standards
• Decision Maker: Strong ability to work independently and make firm, fair decisions on the fly
