Job summary

DanceOne in Orlando, FL is seeking a Stage Carpenter to join our Production and Warehouse team. This hands-on role builds and maintains custom scenic elements, flight cases, and event infrastructure used across our nationwide events.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will read plans, operate tools, and ensure safe, on-time delivery of assets, with a focus on quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a carpenter, stage carpenter, scenic carpenter, or fabricator.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and fabrication practices.
• Proficient with power tools, saws, drills, routers, and sanders.
• Able to read plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Fluent with metric and imperial measurements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds; forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, fabricate, repair, and maintain stage and scenic elements.
• Construct flight cases and storage solutions for equipment.
• Operate woodworking, metalworking, and fabrication tools safely.
• Manage shop tools, equipment, and workspace.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams for event prep.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safety-focused shop.
